In stmt 2, if y/x is not odd, it can be an even integer or it can be a fraction (non-integer). Can someone explain why stmt 2 is sufficient? Tx

fractions are not considered even or odd. For example 3/5 you can say its odd but 6/10 is even and 3/5=6/10. So when they say y/x is even or odd it always means they are integer and not fraction.

- Agree this statement. If it's the otherway round, y/x is NOT odd, then IMO we cannot say that it is an integer.

Also, I dint get the above examples (3/5) and conclusion that 3/5 can be considered odd.
