MANHATTAN REVIEW vs. MGMAT [#permalink] New post 22 Feb 2007, 11:11
Hi guys, I'm deciding on taking the 8-9 session prep course from either Manhanttan Review or MGMAT. Has anyone taken either one of these classes? Better yet, has anyone taken both classes and tell me which one they prefer? I've read good things about both classes but need some help choosing which one is the best.

I am taking MGMAT on-line course right now. I highly recommend it as instructors are very knowledgeable and are willing to spend extra time after class to address any questions. MGMAT's quant books are very helpful for people who haven't been exposed to math for a long time. Their SC book is simply priceless (there is no other SC prep book that comes close in quality). I find MGMAT's Challenge Questions archive very useful for quant practice, too.

MGMAT usually offers your first on-line class for free, so you could try it out and make an educated decision on your own. Also, if you participate in MGMAT's orientation session, you will get a $100 off your on-line class.

I do not know anything about Manhattan Review.

Good luck!

I took the 8 session course with Manhattan Review, and they were really good. In total, I went up a little over 100 points, so I was really happy. The instructors are really good, and they have a separate math and verbal isntructor, which I think is a really good idea. Their materials are well organized too, pretty tough so that it is a good for people who are trying to get a really high score.

I didn't take either course, but I have both the materials. I really like the Review ones better because it's better organized. MGMAT is split into all different books for the different parts of each section, which makes it difficult to study to a certain degree because some problems fall under multiple labels. Also, Review's stuff is harder so it helps you more if you're trying for a higher score.
