A. requirements of maintenance and consuming of special racing fuel by earlier high horsepower models - no parallelism
B. requirements by earlier high horsepower models of consuming of special racing fuel and maintenance - wordy
C. requirements for consuming of special racing fuel and maintenance of earlier high horsepower models - I eliminated this for the beginning sentence "requirements for"
D. consumption of special racing fuel and maintenance that was required by earlier high horsepower models - using singular verb
E. maintenance and consumption of special racing fuel that were required by earlier high horsepower models - maintains parallelism and uses the correct verb "were"

2) The sentence is in present tense.

A. have been priced to sell, and they are - "have" is redundant
B. are priced to sell, and they have - rephrasing the sentence "are priced to sell, and they have sold"..no ||
C. are priced to sell, and they do. - rephrasing the sentence "are priced to sell, and they do sell" - correct
D. are being priced to sell, and have - same as B..also missing the pronoun "they" which is needed to refer back to the noun.
E. had been priced to sell, and they have - this changes the tense. makes it perfect past.

I disagree with Option E. IMO D.
In E, it appears as if :
maintenance and consumption of special racing fuel
here "the maintenance "and "consumption" applies to special racing fuel.
However, in option D this ambiguity is eliminated.
Consumption of fuels
and
Maintenance ....of high models.

@ amma4u : I think the usage of "was" in option D is correct. It is used to refer maintenance, which is singular.

OA please?
