Manhatten Course Vs GMAX Course [#permalink]
23 Apr 2008, 13:09
I have been looking into the Manhatten GMAT 9 week course and I have almost signed up for it, but recently I found GMAX and checked out their preview and it was quite good. Is one course preferred or recommended over the other? Does anyone have expeirience with either or both? Is the teacher-student interaction from a live class that much better? There is definately a savings if I go the GMAX route, but I don't want to short change my chances at the best possible GMAT score.
Dear Slick, GMAX Online was specifically designed for those students who need a very high grade and are prepared to work hard to achieve it. The lessons are very detailed, as you can see from the demonstration lessons on the gmaxonline.com site, on this site, and on youtube. In addition, you have multiple opportunities to take each lesson, and can pause, rewind, and replay any lesson you like. You can work at your own pace and at any time. The flexibility is a huge boon. You buy the books, but download material, tests and full homework assignments with the course. In addition, we have a different philosophy of education from some of the other schools. GMAX teaches the material to you before you do the homework; you are not asked to learn the material before you take the lesson. Check out this point with any other school in which you may be interested. Many of our students have commented here on the forum about the high quality of the course. Good luck.
