B,C,D lack parallelism.
I don't know the right idiom for "to be manifested", whether it is to be manifested by or in.

In A,B,C, the sentences all contains menifestations were in the ...
is not idiomatic.

In D, 'shown' is redundant.

E is the best chioce. Militancy was manifested in ... <itemA>, <itemB>..etc
