was b/w (A) and (B).

But I guess (A) makes more sense.

here A makes more sense as indexing should be modified by expensive and not 'of expense'...also so...that is idiomatic

Yes, "that" at beginning should convey that parallel structure conveyed by A. As soon as I saw "so...as..." I thought idiom and picked it :(

applies or not, I read it somewhere that "so...that" always/almost wins over "so... as to". Keep noticing :wink:

"so that" and "so as to" both are correct
But "so that" conveys the effect
and "so as to" conveys the reason.

We need to use "so that " here.

I still wonder anandnk's explanation. Frankly speaking, I think that "so..that" and " so..as to" is exactly the same :-(. Could you please show me some sample? Thank you in advance na krub ;-)
