Subject-Verb agreement

Subject here is "aggression"

[strike]Correct answer is D i think.
It corrects the subject-verb and uses the correct idiom to erupt.[/strike]

On second thoughts, I think E should be the right answer. (likelyhood that violence will erupt) is a better construct.

I'll go with D.

Many psychologists and sociologists now contend | that the deliberate and even brutal aggression | yada.....yada.....yada..... | increases the likelihood for [something] to [happen]

the sentence tone sounds appealing to me!!! What's the OA?

The answer is E, the subject is singular, so the correct answer can only be D or E, then likelihood for is an unidiomatic expression, therefore the correct answer is E

Answer must be E.

likelihood is a chance of occurence of event, so it should be followed by future verb 'will' + verb.
This occurs in E.

OA please?
