Many television viewers own videocassattes recorders (VCR's). Companies that advertise on TV complain that VCR ownership hurts their business, since a VCR makes it possible to view TV programs without watching the commercials. Indeed 2-3rd of those who tape programs on a VCR edit out the commercials when viewing the programs.

WWhich of the following,if true, wud most strengthen the companies' complaint that VCR ownership is currently hurting their business?

(A)The methods for determinign audience size, which in turn determines charges for advertising time, count household that are merely recording a program as households that are watching it.
(B)VCR manufacturers who advertise on TV wud themselves suffer the damage, if any, to advertises' interestd that is caused by VCR's.
(C)There are VCR's that are in the early stages of developement that will automatically edit out commercials during the recording process.
(D)Those who tape programs on VCR's, but who do not edit out commercials when viewing the programs, tape more often than those who edit out the commercials.
(E)Some TV commercials are as entertaining of informative as the programs they interrupt.

(A)The methods for determining audience size, which in turn determines charges for advertising time, count household that are merely recording a program as households that are watching it. [Audience count is irrelevant to TV advertisers’ complaint that VCRs are hurting their business]
(B)VCR manufacturers who advertise on TV would themselves suffer the damage, if any, to advertises' interested that is caused by VCR's.[Hold it – This strengthens the fact that TV advertisers are getting affected]
(C)There are VCR's that are in the early stages of development that will automatically edit out commercials during the recording process. [VCRs technology is irrelevant]
(D)Those who tape programs on VCR's, but who do not edit out commercials when viewing the programs, tape more often than those who edit out the commercials. [This may weaken the conclusion – Eliminate it]
(E)Some TV commercials are as entertaining of informative as the programs they interrupt. [TV programs and Commercials comparison is irrelevant]

A.

A says that the people whether they are watching ads or just recording progs and removing ads are being treated the same and being counted in the # of people watching ads and hence ad companies are having to pay even for households who are not watching ads...hence getting affected....

Shockingly, it is D
The second premise is : those who tape programs on a VCR edit out the commercials

So, the more persons who tape, the more hurted the busisness, D strengthen the claim
