It would be quite interesting if someone could figure out how to post a countdown in this thread. I have tried but failed terribly! This way I can be reminded that this dreaded wait is constantly getting closer to being over!

But if you're looking for real laughs, I recommend finding some posts from Rhyme and Johnnyx9 (or something like that). They're the funny ones in these parts.

Per discussion with adcom, there is a slight chance your wait might only be 9 days as they do sometimes release decisions the day before the deadline. They said that decisions will go out between the 7th at noon up until the 8th in the evening...either way this is going to be the longest month of my life!

On a related note, I know I could quit being such a lazy-@ss and go look on their website, but do you happen to know if they
a) update your status online - you need to go there yourself
b) email you to let you know the decision's been made
c) call
d) send a letter
e) some combination of the above

I am a R1 admit and think I can help answer some of these Qs:
- I received an e-mail first thing in the morning on the release day telling me that my status was updated.
-logged on and found my acceptance letter
-received a phone call from an adCom that same day
-Received a package from Duke a few days latter with a leather binder and a ton of useful stuff (financial aid, life at Duke, etc.)- mostly stuff you can find on the web but still nice of them to put it all together for us.

Not if you interviewed on campus. I have no idea about alumni interviews.

I had an alumni interview, and I did receive an email about 7-10 days afterwards telling me that the report had been received and asking me to fill out an anonymous evaluation form.

And on another note, it's sorta fun that we're all getting this decision at the same time. I mean, Yale totally robbed me of the joy of mutual suspense with their overly-efficient ding process. Lord, I hope we all get good news on the 8th!!!
