Marshall 2016 Class - Calling all Waitlisted Applicants!

sent it one update with 2 letters of rec and a new essay (no response) contacted them a few weeks later to see if they got it, quick response

contacted them again last week to see if there's anything else I can do, they replied quickly saying thank you.

Got the call this afternoon, I'm in. R1 applicant.

I emailed the admissions office with a few questions to find out more about how the process works, but no response.

I asked them by when i need to submit the additional information.. there is no set process i guess, neither we know when the waitlisted applicants hear from marshall?..

Is it at the end of Round 2 we will hear from them ?..

Huh, well I wonder why I haven't had any response then. Anyway, I think we are re-evaluated with each admissions cycle.

For those who are on the wait list, is anyone considering being evaluated for the part time or IBEAR MBA programs?

We are bringing a webinar with Q&A as well as chats with current students focused on the Waitlisted Applicants.
The first event of this series is Webinar conducted by Admissionado's Founder and HBS Alum Jon Frank. Jon will share his suggestions followed by a Q&A session. This is your opportunity to ask your specific questions. The webinar will take place on 31st January 2014, Friday, 9 AM PST.

We shall also be conducting chat sessions with some Current students from various schools who were successfully admitted from a waitlist so you can learn what to expect from the process, what worked for them, and what it takes. These chats shall take place in our Chat Room. We will release the times & Dates (all will be the first week of February)

so we should expect to hear results after round 2 results are out?

My understanding is that they could let us know at any point along the way, but we are evaluated with the R2 applicants. Has anyone been admitted from the wait list yet?

I got in touch with Ken Park in the adcom and he said that till March 15, which is the round 2 notification date, they cannot make any decision regarding wait listers. Only after that people will be pulled off the wait list if admitted and that can happen any time upto the start of the program.

If you look at the other Marshall forum, it shows that there was 79 applicants and only 13 (16%) have gotten in thus far. If the admissions rate is around 30%, do you think that means that Marshall admits a large number of applicants off the wait list? The only problems I see are the small sample size and whether everyone is actually being honest when filling out their current statuses.

Any waitlisted folks heard from them yet ??
