Master of Science in Engineering and Management from MIT [#permalink] New post 13 Mar 2010, 21:56
Hi,
I would like to know more about this course offered by MIT.
Although its a Master of Science degree but is considered as a good mix of Science and Management and is jointly offered by MIT school of engineering and MIT Sloan school of Management.
It is primarily serving the needs of professionals who prefer to remain primarily in technology background but also needs to gain management experience without gaining all unnecessary stuff offered by traditional MBA program or in other words its more like "customized techno MBA for engineers".

Not much information is available about student profiles, employment statistics, recruiters.
Just intersted in getting real world feedback about this course (preferably from MIT alumni).

Thanks,

I too would be interested in more information on this. I haven't been able to find much, although it seems like it could be very interesting.

it sounds like a great program from a great school. i did a similar program during undergrad from a much smaller school, and honestly it didn't open many doors for me job-wise out of college. i decided i wanted to expand out of the traditional engineering role, and that's why i will be pursuing the MBA. if you're 100% on remaining in engineering, then this would be a good substitute.
