Master one area at a time or mix it up? [#permalink]

I have just started studying (2 weeks now) and math is my weakness. I am doing the Manhattan Foundations of Math book and I am wondering if I should do this book then do the english foundations and then take a diagnostic test to get my baseline and thereafter work on problem areas in all subjects one after the other or finish my foundations book and then do the Manhattan Quant study guides and master this math before doing the diagnostic test and moving on to the other areas and just maybe doing a brush up on math? Do I keep at just Quant until I master it or do I just get the basics and then address weak areas in all subjects? My goal is to score a 700+

Hi,

For Quant and even for Verbal i will suggest you to try the following:--

For i=1 to end
-> Study "chapter i"
-> go to grockit.com and schedule game for "chapter i" with difficulty level easy, If doing good then increase the difficulty to "medium" else go to next step
-> re-read the "chapter i" if you are doing bad
-> else goto next chapter and repeat the above steps.

And I have a quick Question... when you say foundation books... what exactly are you referring too?

And regarding the test. I will suggest you to read the theory first. Do some practice and then take the mock test.
