Hi, can anyone please help me in selecting the Masters in Finance course of Simon Business School (University of Rochester) Vs Mays Business School (Texas A&M). Would appreciate a detailed comparison... Have been admitted into the MSF course for Fall 2014..

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the cost. With programs like this I would focus on all in costs and desired goals. TAMU is a good school and will place well in Texas. Outside of Texas, probably not as good. Rochester is another good school. I'd say mainly corporate finance/ops/middle office type finance work. Simon has a lot of alumni on the street though. Depends on what you want to do.

IMO, I would probably pick TAMU since Texas is a growing job market and it is probably the cheaper program.

My interest lie in equity research... i have got a 35% scholarship from Simon's so the cost factor nullifies. could you help me out on other factors to decide among them ? i am more inclined for a comprehensive finance program... i was looking for Simon as it was near to New York city which is good for equity markets and its allied areas....
