Let the two digit number be ab
10a+b = 4(a+b)
6a = 3b
2a = b
Possible values of (b,a) include :(2,1), (4,2), (6,3) & (8,4)

(1) tens digit is 1
a = 1 => b =2
number is 12

(2) units value is a prime number.
from the possible values, only b=2 satisfies.
so a=1
number is 12.

Either of the options is sufficient. Option D

S1 - n=4p+odd integer, where p is any integer
i.e. remainder can be 1,3 which are odd.
any number with remainder 1,3 when divided by 4 , gives remainder 1 when divided by 2, which can be checked by substituting some values.
Hence sufficient.

S2 - n=3q+odd integer, where q is any integer
i.e. remainder can be 1 which is only odd remainder.
any number when divided by 3 and leaving remainder 1 can have remainder 0 or 1 when divided by 2, hence not sufficient.

Hence answer A.

FROM STATEMENT - I ( Insufficient)

\(3^{x + y} = 3^4\)

Or, \(x + y = 4\)

FROM STATEMENT - II ( Insufficient)

\(3^{x + 2y} = 3^3\)

Or,\(x + 2y = 3\)

FROM STATEMENT - I & II ( Sufficient)

\(x + y = 4\) or \(2x + 2y = 8\)
\(x + 2y = 3\)

Now, \(x + 2y = 3\)

Or, \(2y = 3 - x\)

Or, 8 - 2x = 3 - x

Or, x = 5 So y = -1

Thus BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient to answer the question asked, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked, answer will be (C)

If the least and the average salary are same, then all the entries are same. Therefore, median =$95K
