There is a TED talk by Dan Meyer titled 'Math Class Needs a Makeover'

There he says 'The Math serves the conversation, the conversation doesn't serve the Math'. To understand what he meant, go through the talk if you have the time.

I am posting this here because it is extremely relevant especially for GMAT. GMAT is testing your logic skills. It is testing whether you can apply the simple Math concepts to new and tricky situations. Use Mathematical structure only when necessary. Practice talking your way out of questions! Try and do them without a pen and paper.
