Hi I was wondering if someone could help me out. First round is coming soon and I wanted to hear from some people who have been digging deep into the data. Here is my CV.
GMAT 730, second attempt (41 V 48 Quant, 6.0 AWA)
BBA from Michigan State University in accounting- 3.65 GPA
Leadership roles in volunteer organizations in college
Volunteer (as in not paid) financial consultant for green energy start-up in Pittsburgh
CPA, 5.5 years experience in audit and tax at a non Big-4 firm (Thought we have been on Fortunes list of top companies to work for for several years now)
Live in Midwest (This is actually something someone told me will be the biggest problem I have. The most prestigious schools look down on the midwest. I have to say, it seems a lot lest interest that I live in Detroit over someone from Mumbai)
Also, my letter of recommendation are from the CEO of the start up company and a managing partner at my firm. Looking around for another recommendation, but I have no professors or people outside of work that I can think of that know me well.)
Also, I have a professional writer friend and i worked at the college newspaper, so my essays will be above average.
Thoughts on getting into Harvard, Wharton, UCLA, and Northwestern.
Also, anyone have any thoughts on Columbia and NYU's fit for someone who does not want to work on Wall street?
Thanks a bunddle
