Hi,
I'm an older (turn into 36 this Aug'10) candidate - It seems i'm getting EMBA territory, but already working hard towards very good GMAT score (should be 700+) and planning for top 10 school.. I read few posts here about older applicants and friendly schools. so which program would be best and suitable for my case : MBA / EMBA. ?
If i plan for EMBA/MBA on the 2012 year, when do i need to start working on my applications. ? How much lead time will i get after i got admission. ?
Thanks indeed.!
Vasu.
To be honest, it is extremely tough to get into any of the top schools at 38. However, I have seen few exceptions. I have seen a classmate at 40. So, its not impossible. If you have an exceptional story, a high flying career and a great application, you will still stand a chance.
Try for the full-time MBA. If you don't get through, go for an EMBA. You will atleast be happy that you have tried your best. Good luck!
