MBA OR MS IN REAL ESTATE [#permalink] New post 08 Jun 2010, 07:34
Hi,
I want to do a post graduate Degree in real estate , But i am in quandary that should i go for MBA or MS .

1) Is there much difference in real estate finance and real estate development , i mean can't they go hand in hand in a
single course.
2) which option will be more career oriented(MBA/MS) -in terms of getting a job and monetary measures.
3) I am well versed with construction aspects but quite naive in financial and business aspects will that be a taboo
for me (if i decide to go for mba).
4) I came to know that funding possibilities(Financial aids ) are more for MS Comparission to MBA....is it true.

Moreover what are the viable (possibility of getting admissions- considering average porfolio) and die-able (possibility of getting jobs ) institutes /unversities for the same.

Above and all i would be highly grateful to you ,if you could enlighten me on the curent scenario of real estate in US( i am from india )especially how it is recovering after Sub prime Crisis (any prognosis ).

You may want to start getting yourself educated about the US real estate market first. Like anywhere, the health of the market varies from one region to the next.
