MBA Prep Courses [#permalink] New post 15 Apr 2008, 11:02
Hello Everyone -

Does anyone know of any reputable online service, maybe even schools, that offer MBA prep courses prior to the beginning of the school year? I'm specifically looking for prep courses in Econ and Finance.

I have been admitted to a school and will be taking their prep courses prior to the first day of class, but I'm looking for something to give me a heads start (sort of a prep course for the "real" prep course). One site I came across in doing some research was, but I found some not-so-great reviews of their service.

Any suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm an HBS admit with a non-traditional background (ie. no finance courses in ugrad) and they're requiring me to take an accounting and finance course prior to matriculation. They recommended Accounting 200 and Finance 300 from BYU's distance program. The benefit from my perspective is that I can take it at my own pace since everything is online, aside from the exams. It may be more intensive than you're looking for (~80-100 hours per course), but if you don't have the background it's probably the best way to get "MBA prep" in these areas so that you're ready to go on day one. ... ngwversion ...
