MBA Resume::need advice [#permalink] New post 25 Aug 2009, 09:52
Hi,

Im currently on a Professional Break after i quit my last Job in June .
I used the Time to do some soul-searching and use the time to apply to a few B-schools.
I plan to submit my Application in the next few weeks post which i plan to join my new job.

my doubts are:-

1)Do i highlight only my last job in my resume as i wouldn't have joined my new job till then?
i have used one of the essays to depict how i have used break creatively.
Yet, what are the chances the adcom views it in negative light?

2)Further, there is also a question asking me to explain my current Position
what should be strategy in that regard?

Thanks.....

prasun84,

If a firm has already offered you a job but your start date is in the near future, you can last that new job/employer on your resume. You can also explain the responsibilities you will have in the new position in the job essay. The schools will know from the data section of your application when your actual start date is, but you should also directly address this new job and what you did during your down time in an essay.

Hope this helps,
