MBA schools for kids w/ little work experience [#permalink]
02 Feb 2007, 02:02
Hi,
I'd like to know some friendly MBA schools towards kids with little work experience.
I have 1 year PART TIME work experience as a staff accountant at a small local firm and also 8 months as a business consultant. I am also doing an internship with a big 4 accounting firm this summer, so that will add a couple months to my experience. My GPA is very high and I am taking the GMAT in a month so hopefully it will be decent (600-650 range).
I was aiming at UCLA until I realised only 2% of their class had less than 3 years work experience. So, any ideas?
Also, when the schools are talking about work experience - is it only full time experience they count? And part time experience is disregarded?

It is tough to gain acceptance to one of the top cluster schools without substantial full time work experience. In addition, students generally gain far more from the experience after they have more experience to draw upon when learning from and interacting with other students in their MBA program.
