MBA Tour events - what do you think about them?

MBA Tour event was held last night July 31st in DC, and quite a few schools came out. Overall, the event was structured with panel sessions about admissions, GMAT, and financing. Then the individual school presentations and finally the actual fair.
Highlights
-My first recommendation is for these fairs to schedule 1:1 meetings with the adcoms directly before they head into town. It will be a good way for them to meet you and you to find out more about the adcoms personality and process. Of the schools I contacted beforehand, Claremont (Drucker), Rochester (Simon), Tepper, Emory, and UCSD were able to schedule some type of 1:1 meeting. MIT declined, said they did not do those.
-As for the individual schools’ presentations, I only was able to sit through a portion of UCLA’s, but I would say the quality is based off what the students in the presentation are asking. Many of the questions were basic, such as culture, but some were more specific such as Consortium related questions.
-For the fair portion, well that was night and day. Some schools, Georgetown, Cornell, MIT, you were waiting all night to talk to. Others like Buffalo, Tampa, and some of the foreign schools were open all night, barely anybody was going to them. I would say that the fairs with more of the top schools would be more useful, as then you will not have so many people waiting for a school like Cornell because it is one of the few Ivys in the house.
Wondered what everyone else thinks in regards to fairs and strategies or takeaways to take into mind?
