MBA with biz experience;seeking MS from top school [#permalink] New post 13 Jun 2005, 20:16
I am considering pursuing an MS in Accounting.

I graduated SUNY Albany in 1990 with a BA in Economics (2.75 GPA)


I earned my MBA in Finance from Pace University (NYC) in 1999 (3.5 GPA)
(Completed part-time program while working full-time)

Based on the fact that I have almost 15 years of biz experience, and already possess an MBA, I'm wondering if I have a realistic shot at gaining admission to a top MS program (or at least in the top 20)

Aside from my low undergraduate GPA, my GMAT was a 510 (taken in 1996)

It looks like I might have to retake the GMAT, based on the requirements of a number of these schools.

Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated

check out the various programs here in this section of the forum [MS in accounting that is ] are you looking towards a school in the northeast or somewhere else ? also visit http://www.aicpa.org and go to the students seciton at the bottom them go to classroom and schools and colleges offering degrees in accounting its is the most comprehensive list of schools on the web about MS in accounting/ it also offeres PhD and BA/BS.. check it out, good luck
