MBS for Finance [#permalink] New post 30 May 2008, 06:31
Hi

I have recently applied to MBS for a Full Time MBA. I am interested in taking up a job in Corp Finance post MBA. My current experience is in PeopleSoft consulting (IT).

Is it a good idea to join MBS to further my career plans? Is it possible for foreign nationals to make an industry switch and get a job in Oz, given that they do not have a work permitt?

Does AGSM fare any better? Welcome all opinions. Thanks.

sat - MBS is a great school. However, Australian schools in general are not known for their active career services, so, be prepared to spend some extra effort to secure recruitment. Having said that, compared with all economies in the world, the Australian economy is doing rather well and there are employment opportunities abound in Australia in the Finance sector. The only problem is that Sydney, not Melbourne, is the Australian finance hub. With that in mind, AGSM, might be a better pick.
