Mccombs School of Business - Class of 2014 [#permalink]
05 Jan 2012, 07:12
Hi Everyone,
I have got an admit from Mccombs School of Business for Fall '12.
Anyone else with an Mccombs admit ?
I am an international and still struggling to get my finances sorted out for the program.
I have emailed (on 1st Jan '12) the school asking my options, but no response yet. No Scholarship yet. But I believe Mccombs continues to dole out scholarships till the acceptance deadline.
I have sent an email to admit hotline today morning (5th Jan '12). Lets see if they respond to my queries.
Regards,

A question to all international students who applied for Loans from outside the US - Private banks want me to have a temporary address (within USA)/S.S.N./I-94/U.S. Visa/ I-20 to apply for a loan irrespective of the fact that I have a US co-signer.
The problem is that I need the private loan before I can apply/receive any of those documents. It's a vicious circle & I have no clues on how to get out.
Has anyone faced a similar situation before ? Any solutions to this problem ?

Hey, you might want to speak to your Admissions office at McCombs regarding this, or else call up UT-A and get it clarified. I'm sure they must've seen many students in a similar position before. P.S: McCombs Fall '12 admit here - Nice to meet you

Damn! inclinedplatform, did you really apply to that many schools?!
Personally, dinged by McCombs... oh well. I love Houston, so I'm glad I didn't have to choose.
For all of you that are new to Texas, welcome! It's an awesome place to be.
