Brosnan -- Do you mind if I ask which coast you're on? I live near a major metro area, too, and I'm wondering if they contact, say, all the East Coast people they want to interview if they know they're having an AdCom member fly to the East Coast to do interviews. Hoping to hear this week too!

I was invited to interview this morning. Extremely excited! I am located in the east coast.
Question for you guys. I am trying to decide between these options. FYI - I have not visited the campus yet.
1) Do an on-campus interview with a 2nd year student 2) Do an off-campus interview with an admissions officer and then do an on-campus visit before the decision date.
I realize that interview with a 2nd year student carries equal weight. However, I feel that having an advocate in the admissions committee meetings wouldn't hurt. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Thank you! I think both options are fine. I would personally go to option 1 because I feel it is always better to interview with a student as they can relate to you more easily. I had a few interviews so far and found that the closer to you the interview the easier the discussion (especially when you can ask them questions) because you just share more things to talk about. I don't think being interviewed by an admissions officer gives more weight to your interview.

Hey, everyone
Just got an invitation for an interview! Very surprised, only 8 days after the application deadline.
Good luck to everyone that is still waiting.

Thank you! To add on to fitzmanon's response, I'd also recommend doing everything on campus. 2nd-year students also take part on the selections committee, so they could serve as an advocate as well. Someone who interviewed on campus might be able to tell you if any AdCom members were part of the interviewing process. Posted from my mobile device

Posted from my mobile device When I interviewed on campus, the only person I interacted with after I checked in was the second year student who interviewed me. I have to believe this is the norm for on campus interviews.

I think I was among the first to respond since the schedule of available times they sent back to me was wide open with hour-long timeslots all day

Namrta you will want to confirm this but in one of the admissions chats with the adcom they said that if recs weren't received by the deadline then your application would be pushed to the following round.

I knew I shouldn't of searched for and joined a message board. I applied in R2 and now get to obsessively compulsively check my email for an interview invite.

Received an interview invite 2 days back.
Going to meeting an alumnus in my city on Monday - thats 3 days away for the interview. I'm not sure if they receive information from the school (resume, profile, essays) or must I carry some or is it going to be blind..
anyone knows? Sadhvika

Anyone know what portion of applicants are invited to interview? Or, what percentage of those interviewed are then accepted?

Net result is that 25% of total applicants get admitted (571/2253). Posted from my mobile device
