McCombs (UT Austin) 2013 Calling All Applicants

Who is the sender? I have got an email from One of the associate director but with different text. He wants me to give him a call earliest. Congratulations to all admitted applicants.

Admitted... Yippie. But no news on in state tuition fee status/ scholarships

Just send an email and ask. I am really curious to see to what profiles they hand scholarships. I am really thrilled about being accepted to McCombs but tbh I really thought I would get a scholarship or at least pay in-state tuition due to my profile.

Just curious as to what's in your profile that made you think you'd for sure get a scholarship?

Not for sure obviously. I just had quite high hopes and was told by a few people that my stats would position me well to get a scholarship. I have a high GRE score, high TOELF score, what I believe to be very strong work experience decent GPA from a very reputable university and I am from an under-represented country.

Don't get me wrong I am very happy about getting accepted. I'll just have to take a massive loan and hope that the financial aid office is supportive.

Cannot wait to visit again soon!

Got a mail yesterday asking me to call the admissions office.
Called and given the good news.
No scholarships though I was very hopeful of getting a scholarship.

I have received an email from with federal loan and other loan links. Following previous year posts, it seems that news on scholarship will follow at a later stage. We are yet to receive for formal notification on admission. Let's wait and see.

Does anyone know whether all the offers are out?

We've had roughly 8-10 people on this site receive their acceptance so far, so I thought it'd be a good time to break down the anonymity a bit. I created a LinkedIn group for the incoming class of 2015. I think a few people already mentioned they're 100% on attending McCombs now that they have an offer, but the group can also serve as a resting spot for people still weighing their final decision. If you're uncomfortable w/ other schools potentially seeing your group membership, you can hide the group visibility under your account settings.

Has any one got scholarship?
When I asked, the Associate Director told that they have awarded a few but I did not figure in the list.
Then he forwarded a mail containing information about various funding option.

720 GMAT, Engineer,
Project Mgmt/Consulting/Business Development in a big Telecommunications firm, had excellent interview.
So was very hopeful of Schol.
Do u think that we can get something later on?

We'll see but I doubt it. I am stilled thrilled about going to McCombs next year. I am already getting ready to book my holidays for March and the Preview Weekend

When is Preview Weekend 2013? I can't seem to find anything about it. Thanks.
