Got a call from Adcom- I'm in too!!! Very excited- I'm based in NY so was a bit surprise to hear from them arnd 11.

She did mention that $$$ decision will be on the acceptance letter available around 5pm EST, and that the school will send out a welcome pack with all details about next steps sometime next week.

Congratulations to all fellow admits, good luck to those still waiting to hear back- some comments on previous years forum indicate that not all accepted candidates are informed by phone. So hang in there...

My mom let me know that I got a message on my home phone answering machine. I wonder why they called there. I'm assuming that means I'm in? :)

I found I left my hubby's number in my application, Adcom just called him, but didn't tell him their decision. When I called back, I reached the voice-mail of my interviewer. Ahhhhh!

I've given up on Gtown. They don't want me, but I wish them the best of luck in the future. *tear drop* No, I'm fine...really. *goes to sit in a corner*

I was planning on working from home today and just had my cell phone close hoping I'd get a call...I then realized I had put my work number on my app and actually raced into work thinking I didn't want to miss the call in case they tried that number. Within 10 mins of getting to my desk, the phone rings!!!!

And before you ask, yes, a phone call means that much to me. I'm that big of a dork....

Kudos for your enthusiasm...and remarkably good timing. ;)

In the tournament...UNC probably...j/k...

I'm probably the worst person to ask because I honestly have no idea at this point. KF/G-town seems to be a pretty common dilemma based on a few searches I've done, so it's safe to assume they're fairly equally in terms of caliber of students and career opportunities. I think it's more a matter of fit and where you'd prefer to live post-MBA. They both seem to place well in NY & the mid-atlantic region...UNC better in the Southeast, G-town better internationally. Obviously, G-town dominates DC and if you want to get into federal consulting, it wouldn't be too difficult.

Good luck with KF next week! Hopefully I'll be asking you the same question...

Full disclosure - I'm a lot more familiar with Georgetown than UNC. I've never even visited Chapel Hill. But I know DC pretty well, and I have to admit, the Hariri building is SWEET!!! (Not that I would ever pick a school for purely superficial reasons  )
