Congrats to everybody!!

Got the call this morning and saw the offer letter online.
In the letter, it doesn't mention scholarship at all. Does it mean no $$ ? Anyone with scholarship chime in?
Thanks.

I am pleased, I was put on the waitlist without an interview! Is that normal?
Now I dont know what to do! I want to take the gmat again but they want all things till April 1.
What you guya suggest? Is it possible to get admitted out if the waitlist, without doing nothing. Or is an interview also necassary?

I got my decision email around 4:50EST. My admit letter had info about my Merit Scholar offer of $10K per year (which I was not expecting at all!). I'm not sure whether they announced non-scholarship financial aid information in the letters or if that information will come later.

Otherwise, congrats to all who were accepted this afternoon! :D

IF you apply for the 2nd round or 3rd round FT, it appears that they are going to defer you until R3 to see if you will be interviewed or not. Because interviews are required for admission, you have to be interviewed before getting in.

I would give them a call over the next few days and/or send them something if you're still interested in Georgetown.

No $$ for me in the online notification.. Does it mean no aid has been provided?

How did round one candidates come to know about scholarship? Was it available online or in the welcome binder?

I don't know if you saw my previous post, but I found out about my scholarship in my online admit letter. They said they would provide more information in the welcome binder. But again, I don't know if they included non-scholarship financial aid information in the letters too, or if that's something that'll come later.

Congrats on the GPPI admit! What area of policy were you going to focus on? Are you still going to consider going without the dual degree?

congrats to all the admits!!! scholarship info is in the offer letter. The binder only offers more info regarding budget and financial aid (aka loans).

My welcome binder was waiting for me when I got home today. So fast! I guess it helps that I'm in the northern VA area, but still...way to go Georgetown!

Just received my acceptance to Georgetown (no $$..... I wonder if that is definitive). Also, I applied to Rice (accepted-full scholarship) and to Darden, Duke and UNC...., I do not really know what to do..., specially if I also get accepted in the other schools. I guess it ultimately depends on the $$ received but I know that rankings and quality matter.., any suggestion?.

Actually, it is definitive. Plus Georgetown doesn't entertain requests for revaluation of application for scholarships. However, decisions about research and teaching assistanceships will be posted in the beginning of academic year.

And congratulations once again for making it through.. :)
