Memorial -Newfoundland? [#permalink]
23 Oct 2010, 20:01
Obviously not on the top of anyone's list, but I am blown away by the 4k per annum tuition. Even with much lower starting salaries (which i can't help but assume), the RoI is incredible when you consider how little you have to pay back. Rothman is ~40k per annum, and Ivey can't be far behind. Apart from the obvious issues of prestige and portability, is there any reason at all why Memorial isn't tremendously under-valued? (obviously, Newfoundland is no Bay St...but 4k? You could almost pay for it out of the loonies in your couch!)

...or is this one of those situations where cost sincerely does equal quality?

Hit up the memorial U MBA and MBA alumni facebook groups as a start and ask ppl that are currently attending what they think. Worst they can do is boot you out of the group for insulting them.

My little sister goes to Memorial. She hates it there.
There is no business in Newfoundland except for the government and the university. They have about 13 students in their MBA program. It's one of those programs that was created because they have to, not because they want to.
For a cheap MBA, what about Concordia? It's reputable and it's in Montreal. The cost is about the same as Memorial.

entirely late on this post, but I will vouge for memorial, the professors for the MBA program are top notch, the program is very well done and for what it's worth, our MBA classes are far more then just 13 students. The reason memorial has such a small tuition, is because the provincial government regulates the tuition fees in Newfoundland
