mention very recent volunteer work? [#permalink] New post 01 Mar 2005, 13:00
hi there ...
well, i don't have much in the extracurricular deptartment (since college) ....
softball league and proctoring the ACT at high schools, etc. nothing too great.

i began volunteering w/ a friend last month at a pediatric cancer foundation.

i am applying to schools (PT programs) in april.

note: i did not start volunteering at this organization b/c i needed to "boost" my activites list. and i don't want it to look like that on my applications - so should i leave it off? (since it would only read 2/2005 - present?)

thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Definitely do not leave it off. Especially since, as you stated, it's not just an application booster. It sounds like it's something that you could openly discuss and sound passionate about, which makes it a definite keeper.
