Mentioning other schools in Essays? Bad idea? [#permalink]
13 Sep 2012, 15:14
Quick Question:
In one of my essays it says something like this:
"School x currently doesn't participate in xyz program. I plan to organize a club that participates in xyz. This would provide opportunities to network with students from Stanford, Sloan, CBS, and HBS, who also participate."
Is it a bad idea to mention other schools by name in the essay, even though I think it will add credibility and prestige to school x and provide value to its students? Should I be generic?

Probably unnecessary and, quite frankly, a waste of valuable words that could be used elsewhere in the essay. Posted from GMAT ToolKit
