Hi,

So couple months ago, I bought the MGMAT guide for IR section. My overall feeling about the guide is that it is not even closely as good as anything else from the company. I really hold a high opinion about MGMAT because the company's guides have given me an enormous improvement (from like 450 to 700 and going higher).

To be honest, I read the guide only once and perhaps not as thoroughly as I did the other guides. But I simply was not impressed as I went through it. The first time I did the MGMAT CAT including IR section I scored only one 3.24 (probably improvised score) points on the entire section with a 2-4 percentile score. I know that I will take some more time before I take the test since there is still some work left to do on the verbal section.

What do you people think about the book? Am I the only one who is disappointed? Or I simply need to work harder and smarter with the current guide?

Your input would be appreciated.

Dear Baracuda123,

I too have a high opinion of MGMAT. While that volume is not as impressive as their other material, it will be hard to find anything else in print form that will surpass it. IR is such a new question, that there hasn't been much time to gather data and form informed opinions of it.

I will recommend this free IR eBook.

I hope you find it helpful.

Also, in case you find it helpful, here is a review of GMAC's official website with 50 IR practice questions.

Best of luck to you. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks Mike,

I will use the links you provided me with when I focus my studying on IR section.

Obviously, each company will improve its IR guides once they get to see more IR problems on the test. But I really hoped that MGMAT's guides would be better than they are, despite everything, that's all.

I will definitely look into the book and the reviews.
