MGMAT practice test [#permalink] New post 22 Oct 2010, 03:17
Guys , My GMAT is scheduled on 26th of October . I have been giving these MGMAT CAT tests .
I have to say that I suck at verbal . The best so far is 38 . I don't have any clue abt these tests being
tougher or easier(in verbal) than the actual GMAT. The following are my score of MGMAT...

MGMAT(free one) : 640 (Q=47 and V=31)
MGMAT1 : 700(Q=50 and V=35)
MGMAT2 : (Q=51 , didn't give verbal)
MGMAT3 : (V=34)
MGMAT4 : 720(Q=50 , V=38)...In both the sections , I found few questions repeated.

Now , I have seen posts where ppl say that you actually have chances to achieve score greater than
what you have achieved in these MGMAT tests , But all these forums have one thing in common. The
score which they represent is slightly less in quants and along 40s in verbal . But my case is quite opposite.
I have scored good in quants but very less in verbal and thats why I think that I have very less chances of
getting anything higher than these practice tests . All I want to know is whether the verbal is equally tough or
its along similar lines to that of actual thing.

Quant is quite tough in MGmat CAT's, which prepares you well for uncertain level of quants in GMAT.
Verbal - RC's are quite convoluted and long. In gmatprep you won't get all the rc's of 4 paragraphs.

You are scoring good in quant- a positive sign.
If you really want to judge your level, give gmatprep only. Its really important to be as close as possible to the official material near your exam.

If you have not given gmatprep's, stop Mgmat CAT's and give gmatprep only. Though you have 2 tests in gmatprep, but you may reinstall the application again to give another shot to the tests. People have claimed that they saw little or no overlap on 1st retake of gmatprep.

Good luck and keep us updated with you exam result.

How accurate is MGMAT Cats? For example, I get today Q44 V36 and normally in the Gmat prep I scored Q48V31. I would like to know your opinion about this strange contradiction. Thanks!
