MGMAT vs Princeton vs kaplan vs GMATPRep [#permalink]
19 Apr 2006, 22:49
I thought I will start this thread.. I gave my MGMAT.. got a 40 and 31 in Quant and Verbal.. was dissapointed..
But wanted to know with the overall toughness where does this stand?????
Till now I think GMATPrep resembles GMAT the closest... Kaplan is the furthest right? Now where does MGMAT fit..
Any ideas anyone.. Any thoughts..

Oh MGMAT maths are tougher than Kaplan?
I though Kaplan by far was the toughest!

mgmat.. was tough in a way that it was not pretty evident to solve straight away.. their word translations were very hard!
their ds were comparable to kaplan..
but their PS words were hard..

Where can we get these tests? Should we need to become their students or will they sell outside too?

I think the MGMAT tests are significantly harder than the real thing. Haven't taken the Kaplan. But MGMAT tests are the best, non-official practice test I've seen.

To give a comparison, here's what my MGMAT scores were on the 3 tests. I took the first 2 twice.
MGMAT 1: First time, 650
MGMAT 2: First time, 640
MGMAT 3: 730
MGMAT 1: Second time, 680
MGMAT 2: Second time, 720
Gmat Prep 1: First time 750
GMAT Prep 2: First time 720
GMAT Prep 1: Second time 770
GMAT Prep 2: Second time 770
Real thing: 760

The 3rd MGMAT test seems to have only 36 Quant questions! Did anyone else encountered this?
Also... how truly does the MGMAT score prepresent the real score?

i did not make it past the first mgmat!!!!
gave only 2 princeton, 2 kaplan, 1 power prep, 3 gmatprep, and 1 mgmat...
to me when i did the other tests, format was not same.. so after i did princeton and i came back to gmatprep, it threw me off a bit, because i got used to the easy quant of princeton.. so this week i stopped doing any other tests...
that might be a nice thing to do in your last week
