i got my result.
WAITLIST. Darn it. I knew it was coming since I didn't get a phone call from them..
My Michigan Essay was the best of all 5 schools'. I am scratching my head...

I got dinged after the interview- pretty surprising because I felt like the interview went well, at least as good or better as my other interviews to date. I think this was just a case of me not connecting with my interviewer- he stuck to the standard questions and didn't ask anything personal.
The ding could have come because of another weakness in my app, but it makes you wonder why you would get an interview invite in the first place.

If you think your portfolio selection was reasonable, don't make too much of this. I was dinged by the 2 schools for which I put the (I think) best essays and was admitted with $$ to the one school for which I did not think too much of my essays. And I was interviewed by the H, by writing essays which I though "just answered the question being asked", which is pretty much all you can do within 400 words a q.

hi,
I wanted to know if Michigan would consider my application. My application was after the March 1st deadline I sent it on I think March 7th
Please let me know if its going to be considered for 2007 Fall..
