MIF in LBS -- a query to Paul [#permalink] New post 29 Nov 2007, 07:18
Hi,

I have 5yrs of IT exp with good leadership profile......
But I don't any exposure to finance..

"applicants should have at least two years, full time, relevant work experience" (quoted from LBS MiF admission page...)

Is it true ??

If is this is true I would not be able to start my career in finance ...

dreamweaver, it is not impossible to get into finance with no finance background. However, you would have to show a genuine interest in finance. For instance, have you read any book about finance or actively invested your own money into the stock market? The mif is very finance intensive and it is not really for career switchers indeed. The mba might be a more viable option for non-finance people unless you really have a good reason to work in finance.
