ans wud be ...

A for me...

basically what helps in $50 billion in medical expenses and los time is the ''work days'' and not the migraine....

and only A helps us get that clear....

B ) shows that migraine causes the expenses ( which it does NOT ) AND EVEN iF IT DID SO the verb should be ''costs'' and not cost...

c), ''SO AS TO '' DOES NOT SUIT WELL...

D) and E are on their way out 'cos of the ''lost medical expense''

hope that Helps !

Have fun :)

I disagree with A.

I can't understand who "they" is referring to here.

I am leaning towards B.

"thus" forms a conclusion saying that for such and such reasons so and so happened. It is not exactly saying that migraine costs the nation 50billion$.

DE are out because "that" and "which" refer to "year".
C for the same reason as enigmatic stated.

B.

no fault with B.

A - more than "and" is needed for the conjuction here.
C - so as to - is clearly wrong
D - "thus" is okay but "lost medical expenses" is wrong, they are not lost, they are incurred.
E - "which thus" is wrong.

1.x minutes for the answer and 3 mins for the explanation :)
