A) "they" is not properly referenced

D and E) "lost medical expenses" rules them out

From B and C I would choose B as well because it sound simpler... does anybody have a better reason for choosing B over C ?

I vote B.

A, C, and E are incorrect because the word "cost" refers back to the word "migraine" and does not agree.

D and E are incorrect because the of "lost medical expenses".

B is correct because it doesn't put a comma after the word "year" thus the phrase "which costs.... year" is no longer parenthetical to "Americans" and the word "cost" now refers back to "Americans" and now agrees.

How is B correct?

How can you say that "Migraine....afflicts....and cost the nation"?

hi ndidi04,

I think there is a typo in B->. thus cost(s) the nation If this correction is done then B is the best answer.

Anand.
