Mill City has only 2 types of health clubs-Elite-which offer valet parking and non-elite which offer outdoor pools.
The membership fees at the Mill Creek Health club are low. Therefore the Mill Creek Health club must not offer vallet parking and must have only an outdoor pool.
Which of the statements , if true would weaken the argument.
a)Some health clubs that are not elite have low membership fee
b)Elite health clubs have a wider range of classes available
c)The quality of the programme offered at Mill Creek Health club is inferior to those offered at elite clubs
d)The clientels who belong to a club with valet parking have more money to spend on health club than those who belong to non-elite clubs
e)The range of facilities available at Mill Creek Health club is very limited.

Premise:
1) Mill City: 2 type of health club - elite, non-elite
2) Elite - offer valet parking
3) Non-elite - offer outdoor pools
4) Mill Creek health club -> low membership fee
Conclusion
5) Mill Creek health club must not offer valet parking, must have outdoor pool
The conclusion appears to say that since Mill Creek Health Club has a low membership fee, therefore it must be a non-elite club. Since non-elite clubs offer outdoor pools, then Mill Creek Health Club must also offer outdoor pools.
The best choice to weaken this arguement is (A). If some non-elite health clubs have low membership fee, then it must also mean there are some elite health clubs that have high membership fee. If this is true, then it could mean that Mill Creek Health Club does not have to operate as a non-elite club and offer outdoor pools.

A is the best.
In some cases, the Elite has the low member fee. May be Mill Creek health club is one of these cases above.

Data Available:
1. Elite-which offer valet parking
2. Non-Elite which offer outdoor pools.
3. Membership fees at the Mill Creek Health club are low
Some more data:
1. No mention of Elite not offering out door pools
2. No mention of Non Elite not offering Valet parking
Conclusion:
1. Mill Creek Health club must not offer vallet parking
2. Must have only an outdoor pool.
How is it weakened:
If the elite offer similar facilities
A – Incorrect. Some non elite clubs may have hig fees also. But the same cannot be inferred for the elite clubs.
B says that ‘Elite health clubs have a wider range of classes available’. – Weakens the arg.
C,D,E - Strengthens the conclusion
Hence B is the correct answer.

From this argument it is not clear whether Mill Creek Health club is elite or not-elite.
the conclusion is that Mill Creek health club must not offer valet parking, must have outdoor pool
My answer choice is D here. because, if Mill Creek health club becomes a non-elite club, it will miss out on other revenues that can be generated from people who want valet parking and have more money to spend on health club than those who belong to non-elite clubs.

Does "must" here mean responsibility or 100% possibility?

OA is A.
The reasoning given is that Elite clubs have valet parking. Now since this specific club doesnt has a valet parking, its not an Elite club so its fees is low.
Its from an LSAT collection
