MiM/Msc in Finance at HEC vs LBS vs Bocconi (scholarship) [#permalink] New post   02 Mar 2016, 04:30
Hey everyone,

I have been admitted to the following programs:
- Master in Management at HEC Paris (2 years)
- Master in Management at LBS (1 year)
- Msc in Finance at Bocconi with a 50% scholarship (2 years)

Goal is IB (M&A) in London. I am currently doing a Bachelor's degree in Australia and my only relevant work experience is 6 months in audit (Big 4).
Also, my girlfriend will be in London so I have an incentive to be there. Last, I am French, which means I can get a lot out of HEC.

Which program should I accept, knowing that a 2-year degree might be better to intern in London first?

Thank you for your help, it's actually really hard to make a decision.

What do your finances look like? Can you afford LBS or HEC?

If money was not going to trouble you for the next 1-2 years, you can put aside SDA Bocconi. I'd say LBS all the way, especially if you want to be in banking in London. HEC while strong and youll get most out of it being French, wont give you as strong of a bridge to change and build relations in London banking as LBS - which not only is in London, which give you a location/interview advantage, but is a good feeder to banks (along with LSE, Cambridge, Oxford and somewhat UCL).
