I was looking at the MIT Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) Program. As you may know, you get both an MBA from Sloan as well as a SM from the School of Engineering.
This program seems very attractive to me, especially given the generous funding given to students and the fact that you get two degrees as well as a guaranteed internship.
However, I haven't seen much discussion on the forum about the program, and was wondering why. What are your opinions about this program? What, if anything, have you heard about the industry recognition and value of this program? Is it worthwhile taking the hit in management/finance electives to take the engineering/manufacturing courses that the SM degree requires? Any help would be appreciated!http://lfm.mit.edu/
