MIT Sloan 2007 - Join in!! [#permalink]

hey ppl,
I guess this is one of the 'top ranked yet not much discussed' schools on this forum( Guess its due to the heavy quant image that Sloan flaunts ). We even had someof the guys here saying that Sloan looked scary  . Yup, sure looks intimidating but i guess there are people who would like to explore an MBA at Sloan. Guess this can serve as a thread for
Sloan applicants in this forum. Others without doubt welcome to offer help, suggestions!!
Callin all sloan applicants to make this forum active.. Btw, It seems interview invites are on from Dec 1st week.. So plz keep updatin your status!!

i submitted my app in R1...still waiting for something to happen...anything!
I also agree that Sloan is one of the least discussed top schools in this forum

Yup, me too submitted in R1!! they dont even change the status.. still in submitted!! Btw, I hope you got some mail that the application is complete and interview will start around Dec 1st week.. all the best!!

Guyz,
seems the invites have started rolling out from Sloan. Checked with the BW forums.. 4 or 5 of them 've got their invites.. seems there is a high probability of people on the NE gettin an interview invite sooner than the others.. Dunno how much of this is true..But finally something has started to happen with Sloan R1.. Lets c who gets the 1st invite here

Yep, it's true. I live in Boston, and I got my invite to interview in Cambridge yesterday. I scheduled it for next week.

what?! no more invites on Friday?...that's it?!... 
what's the funda with these super early invites to a select few (i mean other than the assumption that these guys have extraordinary profiles)...and in that case, does that mean that the earlier you are invited for the interview, the better your app is?

You are suppossed to use the supplemental essay only if needed.
Eg:if you want to detail any extenuating circumstances that may have influenced your GPA (eg: working full time while studying) you may do so
there.
Eg2: if you want to mention that your employeer is offering full or part sponsorship, you may do so there.
Eg3: if you want to add the 2,000 words you let out of the introduction letter, you may also do so there, BUT I would not recommend you do so.
