I went for D. but reading the explanations I think B makes more sense.

yes I think monarch and monarch butterfly are not same so B is the only option we left with but still initially the text was talking about earth electro-magneticity but suddenly electricity is odd option.

I had to choose between B and C. I erroneously chose B. I guess my take-away is to go with the simplier answer.

I can bet you will not see such a question on GMAT

"low-voltage transmitter"----now how can u say tht it produces electricity ?
So one has to infer in this question !

I got tricked by this question real bad. I thought it was D but B makes more sense since if monarchs are repelled by the electricity it does not prove that they map their routes. Also it should be monarch butterflies not monarch. I must of went through fast through this problem
