Hey walker, you are active! Ok, I try to give you a hand, hehe...

I like parallelism because Gmat also like it

More...in ...than in..So, I choose E. A, B, C violates the parallelism
and in D, others refer to temples rather than to the reign.

This is a comparison question. This question directly compares temple constructions in reign of Ramses II vs. any other Egyptian reign
Look for comparison idiom: more x than y

(A) as in any other (not idiomatic - eliminate it)
(B) as any other (not idiomatic - eliminate it)
(C) as in others (not idiomatic - eliminate it)
(D) than others (Fails to compare correctly – Eliminate it)
(E) than in any other (More x than Y – Hold It)

Answer: E

yup, E. These kinds of questions are basically testing proper comparison and parallelism.

This specific one says 'built in X .... than in Y'. The last part is what we need, and only E matches that.

In the question , reign of Ramses 2 saw more construction of temples than any other reign , So "as in" will not convey the appropriate meaning . "As in" gives more example like the current reign which is not the case here . After this thought process , E turns out to be clear winner .
