MORE STRONGLY SUPPORTED -- Inference or Strengthening? [#permalink] New post 19 Oct 2012, 17:06
I faced "most strongly supported by" phrase in Inference as well as Strengthen questions.
Can experts tell me how to decide on what kind of question it actually means?

Just get familiar with various ways how GMAT phrase the questions. You might find books on GMAT strategies useful.

As you rightly mentioned, it could be either depending on question stem.

conclusion is most strongly supported by which of....... -strengthen
Argument most strongly supports which of the...... Inference
Which of following is most supported by ......... Inference

Hope it helps
