E should be the answer; idiomatic 'as much as'
Value is singular so 'is' needed

as much ... as to is correct.
E - the is should refer to days, so it should be are not is.

E.
A and B are wrong because value is singular.
C is wrong because twice as much.....as is the correct idiom.
D is wrong because paid should be present tense

E is it
The value require singular verb" is included" so a and b are out
As much as: idiom and there is no need to change the mood from active to passive in D

E
- need to use "is" and not "are"
- need to follow idiom : "as much...as"
Still D and E
D is weird and incorrect : "as is paid to part-time employees"

What the correct answer?
E because :
As much as is idiomatic
They pay clears who and what ...

B should be the answer [#permalink]
26 Aug 2005, 11:20
E cannot be the answer because of the improper usage of verb (it should be plural rather than singular). The value of benifits, sick days and paid vacation days are three different things.
Since they together prove that the full time employees are paid more, the verb used should be 'are' and not 'is'.
Since B also satisfies the parallelism, I guess, it should be the answer.
