B: If you use both we need not use "also"
C: Same as above
D: It should be "not only...but also". Here it would resolve to "both...but also"
E: Again with both you don't need "as well" given at the end

Hence best opton is A.

Am I right?

I will go with C
coz free of drug.... is correct idiom
and free from prejudical ..... is also idiomatic.
C joins both of them correctly.

Go with B

The idiom is both x and y

A - out
B - appears to be idiomatic and parallel
C - appears to be idomatic but not parallel
D- but changes the meaning
E - repeating the meaning with "as well"

E as it is coz it maintains paralellism, both of A and and of B

a. Best choice. No error.
b. 'both...also of' is awkward
c. 'of...also from' - Inconsistent or parallellism error
d. 'of...but also from' - Same as B and C
e. 'both...as well' is redundant

Should be A. E's "as well" is redundant (Although it seems that the OA is E)

A : Most implies that others don't, so how does as well fit in?
B : Best choice for me
C : both of ...also of is a better choice for me than 'also from'
D : but also requires a 'not only' at the beginning
E : The additional as well at the end should have been left out.

I'm hopping on the 'B-train'.

If you are looking for basic starting stuff then kaplan GMAT 2006/7 or Princeton would do the trick.. Then you have loads of material scattered all over the world

Another A.

This topic (not this example) is covered in Kaplan800 under 'Imperfect Options'. That is, SC's where all 5 answer choices are wrong so you'll need to pick the best one.
All 5 have redundancy so no point looking there.

Options B-E state.....addicts seek to be free both of.....
Should instead be .......addicts seek to be free of both....

Notice how the change in the positioning of of impacts the grammatical structure of the sentence.
