hello everybody
I have a bachelor's degree in Math with 3.84 GPA. I recently took GMAT after preparing for only a month and got total score of 550 with 40 Quant and 25 Verbal. What are my chances to get enroll in MS Accounting program? Which areas of application process I need to concentrate more? I have a regional preference of the Bay Area California. I need your help to make my dream, of being an accountant, into reality

GMAT score is going to be your biggest concern. I think you should look into Golden Gate University (based on your geographic location and GMAT score range). They have a good placement record.

Besides USC, you should be able to get into every other California schools you apply to. There is Golden Gate, San Francisco State, a bunch of other Cal State schools, and if you don't mind southern California, look into San Jose State and UCLA extension program. These state schools are very inexpensive and shouldn't put you into a lot of debt. Get your applications in as soon as you can and study hard for the CPA exam while in school.

Thank you guys for your help. I already applied to San Francisco State couple of days ago. And now I am thinking about Golden Gate University. I just wanna know that does it matter from where you get your Accounting degree as far as job prospects are concerned?

Why don't you put the job prospect questions directly to the schools themselves? Call or email the director of admissions and career services people or ask them to recommend several students you can talk to when you visit the campus. Also, here is the list of the students at San Jose State https://www.sjsu.edu/lucasschool/prospective/msa/alumni/ All of the Big 4 recruited here but you should also send an email or two to several different students and ask whether they like the programs and the job prospects available for them.
