Hi anarchist112,
Although many candidates believe that having a Masters degree will help one's candidacy for an MBA program, the impact is much less than most believe. In fact, if you do pursue a Masters degree business school admissions teams will want to know why you are pursuing an MBA so soon after having graduated. You will need to have a clear answer for this, as admissions teams do not want to accept candidates who they believe are just collecting degrees.

I considered of hitting MS coz am almost done with the application packet. But I dont want to compromise on MBA at any cost and MBA is my top priority.
For submitting the best MBA application, I need to prepare very well on essays and it will take more time for me and i can do that only by March. By the time I will reach the final deadline for International students. Then I need to wait till August 2012 and apply for early action of 2013 intake.
By 2013 intake I will be 28 years and 7 years of work ex.
So am worried if my age will weaken my chances in getting into a good B-School as i ll be old then (this is wat i think as most of the Indian B-Schools prefer age group between 22 to 26)
Any suggession to mitigate my worry
Also wats ur suggession in going for MS in a university where they allow transfer that credits to MBA and finish both MS and MBA in 2 years altogether.
